Lesion
A lesion is simply a localised alteration in the appearance of the skin. It can be a change in surface, colour and/or texture. The term 'lesion’ does not indicate anything about the diagnosis, and it gives no information as to whether it is malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous). Lesions may be single or multiple.
Basal cell carcinoma
Melanoma
